Today I woke up and noted the date and what happened on this particular day 5 years back. Then I went to open our window and thought maybe God will give a day today that is filled with joy and not with grief. But when I opened it was pouring rain and then I thought that God might have given us this day to not only remind and comfort us through the memorizes but to remind us of the time since then. Right now it is raining and when the World Trade centers collapsed It seemed that the world might as well end right then. But tomorrow or the next day the sun will wake me up and encouraged me throughout the day. And after the attacks we saw the “sun” come out in our country we have freed two countries from oppressive leadership. I would say that the sun rise of freedom in those places on 9-11-06 out weights the darkness in our hearts after the horror we saw on 9/11/01. And the sun rise of freedom in those counties will soon brighten the day of the countries around them, and this freedom will soon spread throughout the entire world.
This post is dedicated those who died in the attacks in the World Trade Centers, to the men and women in the Pentagon, to the brave few on flight 93, and to the soldiers that defend our freedom and the freedom of the entire free world every single day.
God Bless America

That’s a great connection between the sunrise and freedom in oppressed countries. Thank you for sharing those thoughts.
I guess that a 9/11 couldn’t begin better than with a gentle, healing rain. I suppose it could connect with the Reformers Unanimous theme last year of being weepers.
I agree–good post!
