the childrens workshop
June 13, 2006This last weekend I had the privilege to be able to work our churches children’s workshop (VBS). This year was special to me though because it was the first time one of my nephews were able to be on my team. It is amazing how fast those little guys learn. By the end of the program they knew most of the fruits of the spirit (love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.) and all the soils (hard, stony, thorny, and good) the also learned a lot of the songs we sang in the workshop. They were a blessing to have in the workshop.
The rest of the kids we were able to teach were wonderful also. We had a great time on my team. I can hardly wait for next year.
fanally done
June 4, 2006Just a word for you guys with sisters (or cousins who live close) If they ever decide to teach they will most likely ask you to grade. Take some time to think about it before you agree to the job. This will be the healthiest for your brain. I have been grading for my sister Esther for sometime now and I was just as excited about them being done with school as they were.
A couple of things to think about before making the decision ask:
Do I get a union?
Workers pension
Insurance
Paid vacation
No really they do a whole lot I just wrote this post to show how proud I am of them, and how glad I am that they are done with school.
So to you Esther and Joy (though I didn’t do any grading for you) congratulations on being done with school.
